Sir Alec Guinness, CH, CBE (geboren als Alec Guinness de Cuffe; 2 april 1914 – 5 augustus 2000) was een Engelse acteur. Hij was te zien in verschillende Ealing Comedies, waaronder Kind Hearts and Coronets, waarin hij acht verschillende personages speelde. Later won hij de Academy Award voor Beste Acteur voor zijn rol als kolonel Nicholson in The Bridge on the River Kwai. Hij is vooral bekend als Obi-Wan Kenobi in de originele Star Wars-trilogie. Hij speelde ook prins Feisal in Lawrence of Arabia en George Smiley in de tv-adaptatie van Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
